This project investigates how human activities lead to biodiversity loss, which in turn increases the emergence of infectious diseases in fish communities within freshwater ponds. It aims to quantify anthropogenic impacts and predict disease patterns based on biodiversity changes.
Emerging infectious diseases have substantial ecological, socio-economic and human health implications, yet factors determining their emergence and virulence are poorly understood.
