This project explores taste-based discrimination in ethnically diverse societies, focusing on how preferences and fairness ideals vary based on ethnicity. It aims to identify the underlying factors influencing social interactions and develop policies to address discriminatory behaviors.
In economics, a distinction is made between statistical and taste-based discrimination (henceforth, TBD).
Statistical discrimination refers to discrimination in a context with strategic uncertainty.
