This project aims to enhance food safety by introducing a portable DNA testing solution that allows for rapid onsite testing of food ingredients. The technology enables food production managers to verify the integrity of their supply chains in just 30 minutes, significantly reducing the risk of contamination.
Counterfeit, contaminated or non-compliant ingredients cost the global supply chain €83.5bn+ annually.
Both raw ingredients & finished products can become contaminated with bacteria, allergens & undeclared substances during processing at any stage of the supply chain.
