This project develops new methods to study animal domestication, focusing on reindeer among the Sámi people. By examining human-animal interactions, it aims to better understand the domestication process and its cultural significance.
The project will create new methodology for identification and interpretation of animal domestication, with a case study pertaining to reindeer domestication among the indigenous Sámi in northern Fennoscandia.
