The DREAM-Film project aims to democratize film digitization and restoration by developing accessible practices and software. It focuses on collaboration between institutional archives and smaller centers to enhance inclusivity and reduce costs, ultimately promoting broader access to European and global film history.
Today, only a small part of the analogue audiovisual collections has been digitised, and workflows and digitisation practices are carried out mainly in institutional centres at a national level.
