The DRIHM project aims to enhance collaboration among meteorologists, hydrologists, and Earth scientists by developing a prototype e-Science environment. It provides access to hydro-meteorological data and models, facilitating the study of severe weather events and improving predictive capabilities for climate impacts.
Predicting weather and climate and its impacts on the environment, including hazards such as floods and landslides, is still one of the main challenges of the 21st century, with significant societal and economic implications.
