This project examines the historical relationship between humans and coastal dunes, focusing on their transformation from perceived threats to vital coastal defenses. It aims to create a comprehensive history of dune management and its ecological impacts, promoting sustainable practices in coastal areas.
Dunes are now protected environments, being top priority for coastal managers, because of their important role as coastal defences.
