The DURARE project studies the historical pursuit of durability in art, examining how artisans and patrons influenced the longevity of art objects. It combines historical research with hands-on material reconstructions to understand the evolution of durable art practices.
Our cultural heritage comprises many art objects that are hundreds, some thousands of years old.
