This project aims to develop a comprehensive mathematical theory of dynamical networks, enhancing our understanding of complex systems across various fields. It seeks to bridge the gap between network science and graph theory to improve analysis, prediction, and control of real-world networks.
Networks define our life, being essential to cell biology, communications, social and economic systems, and impacting virtually all areas of science and technology.
The aim of this proposal is to engage leading experts in network science and graph theory to build a mathematically sound theory of dynamical networks, which will be transformative to our understanding of complex systems, with applications in multiple disciplines.
Both fields have made major conceptual advances in the past decade: ne…
