This research project aims to develop analytical methods to assess the contribution of electronic waste to environmental pollution, specifically focusing on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). It involves creating testing procedures and analyzing samples from e-waste facilities.
Phones, tablets, and flat screens have ever-shorter innovation cycles and become swiftly obsolete, thus, electrical and electronic waste (e-waste) is currently the fastest-growing solid waste stream worldwide.
