The EBTP-SABS project supports the European Biofuels Technology Platform by providing information and facilitating discussions on biofuels. It aims to promote the development and deployment of advanced biofuels technologies within the EU.
Biofuels have a key role in the energy and climate strategy of the EU.
So far they are the only renewable energy carrier which contributes significantly to the energy demand of the transport sector.
In the medium term this will continue at least for sectors such as heavy duty road transport and aviation.
