This project investigates the assembly of pyrenoids, which are crucial for photosynthesis in algae. It aims to create artificial pyrenoid-like structures to enhance carbon fixation and improve photosynthetic efficiency.
In recent years, membraneless organelles were shown to be intracellular liquid like condensates formed through phase separation.
