The ECOSCALE project seeks to improve high-performance computing systems by developing a scalable programming environment and energy-efficient hardware architecture. It aims to reduce data traffic and energy consumption while enhancing the performance of future computing applications.
In order to reach exascale performance current HPC servers need to be improved.
Simple scaling is not a feasible solution due to the increasing utility costs and power consumption limitations.
