EcoSeaSafe is developing a ballast water treatment system that uses pulsed direct current to inactivate invasive species in ships' ballast water. This technology aims to comply with international maritime guidelines while being compact, cost-effective, and easy to install on both new and existing vessels.
The objective of the proposed project is development of a ballast water treatment system by using a pulsed DC electrical field for microbial inactivation of invasive species in ballast water.
