This project investigates endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in wastewater treatment effluents and their effects on aquatic life. It aims to identify antiandrogenic contaminants and assess their concentrations in river ecosystems.
Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are environmental contaminants which have the potential to disrupt the normal functioning of the neuroendocrine system in animals and so result in physiological dysfunction.
