The EDDIE project develops a decentralized, open-source Data Space for energy data, enabling interoperability among energy service providers across Europe. It aims to reduce integration costs and enhance customer access to energy data, fostering competition and innovation in energy-related services.
The Clean Energy Package establishes the rights to access energy data to customers and share it with eligible parties of their choice.
This enables new energy data-based services within and beyond the energy sector.
The main barrier for this development is the lack of large-scale and uniform procedures in the EU.
