The EDiMplant project aims to enhance the longevity of orthopedic implants by developing a surface modification technique that combines antibacterial and osteogenic properties. This approach seeks to improve the integration of implants with bone tissue while preventing infections.
Recently, the demand for orthopaedic implants and devices has undertaken rapid growth due to the aging population and its global market is anticipated to reach $66.2B in 2023.
