This project aims to develop advanced theoretical models for understanding nonlinear optical processes in two-dimensional materials. It focuses on creating software tools for simulating and optimizing applications in photonics and optoelectronics.
Two-dimensional (2D) materials, which include graphene, phosphorene, and transition metal dichalcogenides monolayers, exhibit extraordinary linear and nonlinear optical properties not attainable in bulk media.
