This project explores how electrokinetics can enhance the behavior of sensitive marine clays. It aims to improve laboratory testing efficiency and develop in situ soil improvement techniques using electrical methods, potentially revolutionizing geotechnical practices for soft soils.
The aim of the proposal is to investigate the effect of electrokinetics on the hydro-mechanical behaviour of sensitive marine clays using an innovative combination of techniques from material science, geotechnical engineering and electrical engineering.
