This project explores how the brain processes sensory information to make decisions, using the rodent whisker system as a model. It aims to understand the neural mechanisms involved in tactile perception and decision-making through a combination of experimental and computational methods.
Understanding how the brain is able to transform sensory input into decisions is one of the major challenges of systems neuroscience.
