This project focuses on developing sensitive methods to identify early epigenetic markers for various cancers, including prostate and colorectal cancer. It aims to improve diagnostic techniques based on recent findings in histone modifications and their role in tumorigenesis.

Epithelial cells become malignant after accumulating genetic mutations followed by morphological changes in the epithelium. DNA Alterations include stable genetic changes in oncogenes, tumor suppressor genes and reversible epigenetic changes.
