EPiGRAM-HS is developing a programming environment for heterogeneous computing systems to maximize application performance. It focuses on enhancing programmability and productivity through new APIs and runtime systems, targeting large-scale scientific applications and deep learning frameworks.
The first exascale supercomputer is likely to be on-line in the 2020-2021 time period and to employ highly heterogeneous compute and memory subsystems.
Only the presence of mature programming environments can guarantee its efficient usage since day one of its delivery. EPiGRAM-HS, leveraging the results of the EPiGRAM project, will provide such a programming environment.
