EpiMetAgeing explores the connection between obesity, ageing, and RNA modifications, particularly focusing on the role of TET2 in cellular rejuvenation. The project aims to identify how these molecular changes influence metabolism and age-related diseases, potentially leading to new therapeutic strategies.
Ageing is an unavoidable consequence of living and constitutes the highest risk factor for most human diseases in modern “western” societies.
