This project investigates how plants adapt to low light conditions caused by nearby vegetation. It focuses on the role of a specific transcription factor, PIF7, in regulating plant responses to shade, exploring the relationship between chromatin structure and gene expression.
Light limitation caused by vegetation proximity is an important threat to plant survival in natural and agricultural environments.
