This project investigates the genetic and epigenetic factors influencing obesity by studying specific genes that regulate chromatin states. It aims to understand how these factors contribute to non-Mendelian variations in obesity and identify potential therapeutic targets.
Substantial evidence indicates that even when genetically matched, we are not created equal.
The mechanisms underlying such non-Mendelian phenotype variation are sufficient to elicit complex disease but remain unknown.
