The ERINDA project focuses on advancing research in nuclear fission reactors and the transmutation of radioactive waste. It aims to enhance nuclear data accuracy and provide access to cutting-edge neutron beam technology for improved waste management solutions in existing and future reactors.
Different concepts involving critical (fast) reactors or subcritical accelerator-driven systems are being studied in view of their transmutation capabilities.
These design studies imply high demands on the underlying nuclear database.
