ESTiMatE develops a computational fluid dynamics model to predict soot formation and chemical changes in aero engines. By integrating advanced combustion models and chemical kinetics, it aims to enhance the understanding of emissions and improve the reliability of soot predictions in aviation.
The main objective of ESTiMatE is to develop a modelling strategy using CFD simulations for the prediction of soot in terms of chemical evolution and particle formation in conditions relevant to aero engine operation.
