The ESTOMAD project focuses on optimizing the design of production machines by enhancing energy efficiency. It aims to create methodologies and tools for modeling energy flows, enabling machine designers to improve resource efficiency while interacting with suppliers for better component data.
This project addresses all production machine sectors (e.g. machine tools, agricultural machines, textile machines).
Design approaches for these machines, which are currently performance and capacity driven, have to evolve to approaches where resource efficiency is optimized.
