This project investigates historical perspectives on making the European Economic Community suitable for a monetary union. It examines past proposals and debates on economic integration, focusing on the interplay of political and economic factors that shaped the evolution of the Eurozone.
The project investigates European policymakers’ views about how to make the European EconomicCommunity (EEC) fit for a monetary union.
