This project develops a new climate-ice sheet model to study the Greenland ice sheet's stability and its contribution to sea level rise. It aims to enhance model usability and reproducibility while investigating the ice sheet's response to climate changes using historical data.
Continental ice sheets play an important role in the Earth system, holding enough water to raise sea level by several tens of meters.
Due to the size and complexity of these systems, numerical models are needed to gain insight into their behavior and so computation has become a central part of the science.
