The EuroDag project investigates the use and social contexts of early European daggers from 3800-1500 BC. By analyzing 300 daggers through microwear analysis and functional experiments, it aims to uncover differences based on manufacturing techniques and regional variations.
The researcher is moving from Italy to Newcastle University (United Kingdom) to carry out EuroDag, the first ever comparative study of the function of early European stone and copper/bronze daggers, c. 3800-1500 BC.
