The ENTRAIN-Vision project focuses on developing innovative technologies to restore vision in blind patients. It trains Early Stage Researchers in various fields, including neuroscience and bio-engineering, while fostering collaboration with industry partners to enhance patient autonomy and quality of life.
Blindness is the most feared handicap leading to the greatest exclusion from society by reducing patient autonomy and mobility.
There are still an estimated 39 million blind people worldwide.
