This project examines the response of the European social democratic movement to the socio-economic changes of the 1970s. It analyzes transnational exchanges, ideological conflicts, and the impact of globalization on social democracy and European integration during this transformative period.
The 1970s are widely considered in historiography as a turning point in European and international history.
