This research program investigates the visual cortex's structure and function to understand amblyopia, a common visual disorder in youth. It employs advanced imaging techniques to explore neuronal changes and aims to develop new treatments for amblyopia and other central nervous system disorders.
The research program aims to understand the dynamics of the structural and functional organization of the visual cortex and the implications for amblyopia ('lazy eye', the most prevalent visual disorder among young people).
We will study these fundamental issues from the molecular level all the way to the network level.
