The EVIDENCE project investigates the behavior of red blood cells under flow conditions to enhance understanding of their properties and pathophysiology. It aims to develop new diagnostic devices and improve red blood cell production for transfusions.
After exiting the bone marrow, reticulocytes mature to form red blood cells (RBCs) which are highly adapted cells Red blood cells (RBCs) travel through our circulation during their entire lifetime of in average 120 days.
