This project aims to bridge the gap between molecular processes and organism characteristics by developing a framework to understand the evolution of complex traits. It utilizes systems biology and evolutionary genetics to study microbial behavior and the evolution of distinct ecotypes.
As we learn more about the mechanisms of development, it remains a challenge to understand the relationship between molecular processes and functional characteristics of the organism.
