The Euclid project aims to enhance our understanding of the universe by measuring the shapes and distributions of 1.5 billion galaxies. It focuses on gravitational lensing to study dark matter and dark energy, addressing critical observational challenges before its launch.
Our understanding of cosmology and fundamental physics continues to be challenged by ever more precise experiments.
The resulting “standard” model of cosmology describes the data well, but is unable to explain the origin of the main constituents of our Universe, namely dark matter and dark energy.
