This project explores the asymmetry between matter and antimatter in the universe, aiming to extend the Standard Model of particle physics. It utilizes numerical simulations to investigate the conditions necessary for a strong electroweak phase transition, which may explain this asymmetry.
The observed asymmetry between matter and antimatter in the Universe is direct evidence that the Standard Model of particle physics, recently completed through the discovery of the Higgs boson, does not account for all (non-gravitational) physical phenomena.
