This study examines how low-energy electrons interact with amino acids, peptides, and DNA on lipid bilayers that simulate cell membranes. It aims to enhance understanding of molecular interactions and damage processes, contributing to advancements in nanotechnology and molecular electronics.
The proposed study will focus on effects of low-energy electron interaction with isolated amino acids and short peptides deposited on lipid bilayers mimicking the cellular membrane, as well as on oligonucleotides and on DNA.
