This project investigates how climate change affects two fairy shrimp species in Northern Europe by analyzing their genetic traits and environmental adaptations. It aims to predict their vulnerability to climate change and identify strategies for enhancing their survival and migration in changing ecosystems.
In climate change scenarios, species become highly dependent on their traits to adapt and survive to new environmental conditions.
In species distributed along a wide latitudinal range, selection against immigrants from areas subject to different climate conditions may lead to strong genetic isolation.
