FastFlowSim aims to create a rapid and precise simulation tool for incompressible fluid flows using a novel particle-based method. The project focuses on enhancing stability and accuracy in simulations, benefiting engineers in fields such as offshore technology and watercraft design.
The FastFlowSim project’s aim is to develop a fast and accurate particle-based time integrator for the simulation of incompressible flows.
The developments will be done within the framework of the particle finite element method and using a semi-Lagrangian semi-implicit formulation of the flow equations.
The principal strategy used to attain a faster method is to push further the stability limit of the time integrator which allows us to take larger time steps without deteriorating the accuracy.Fo…
