FIDELITY addresses vulnerabilities in the electronic passport system by enhancing security and privacy throughout its lifecycle. The project aims to improve document authentication, manage lost passports, and streamline ID checks while ensuring citizens maintain control over their personal data.
Significant efforts have been invested to strengthen border ID checks with biometrics Travel Documents embedding electronic chips (ePassport).
