The FIRST project develops advanced technologies to reduce emissions from aircraft engines by improving the modeling of fuel sprays and soot formation. This aims to enhance the design of combustors and support the use of alternative fuels in aviation.
FIRST will deliver key enabling technologies for combustion emission reduction by developing improved design tools and techniques for modelling and controlling fuel sprays and soot.Aviation’s environmental impact must be reduced to allow sustainable growth to benefit European industry and society.
