This project focuses on understanding magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves in plasma, particularly in astrophysical contexts like solar flares. It aims to develop diagnostic techniques based on MHD modes to analyze plasma emissions and improve our understanding of solar corona dynamics.
Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves and oscillations, observed in astrophysical, laboratory and space plasmas provide us with an excellent tool for the remote diagnostics of the plasmas, which are, in particular, implemented in the techniques of solar coronal seismology, Earth’s magnetospheric magnetoseismology, and MHD spectroscopy of tokamaks.
