Ostoform has created FLOWASSIST, a new medical technology that combines a flexible spout with hydrocolloid adhesive to manage stoma output effectively. This design protects the skin, reduces leaks, and extends the lifespan of the appliance, enhancing comfort for patients with ostomies.
Ostoform has developed and patented a new Class I medical technology – FLOWASSIST – by combing a non-absorbent material with an absorbent material (hydrocolloid).
The non-absorbent material comprises a flexible spout, positioned beneath the patient’s stoma and is combined with hydrocolloid adhesive to keep the spout in place.
This hybrid design directs stoma output away from the patient’s skin and into the pouch.
