The FlyHigh project investigates the ecological roles of certain fly species and their potential for mass production. It aims to develop sustainable agricultural practices by utilizing flies as bio-agents for pollination and other ecological services.
FlyHigh studies underexplored phytophagous and saprophagous flies and geophyte plants aiming to obtaining ecological and evolutionary data that will be used to elucidate ecological features of fly species that could be exploited for artificial mass production of flies.
