This research explores the ancient global movement of staple crops like wheat and barley, focusing on their spread between Asia and Europe. By using bio-archaeological methods, it aims to understand the socio-cultural factors influencing early agricultural globalization.

While much of that food globalisation has resulted from modern trade networks, it has its roots in prehistory.
