This project investigates the phenomenon of itinerant artists in the Hellenistic period, focusing on their travels and performances. By analyzing historical inscriptions, it aims to shed light on the cultural impact and societal roles of these traveling professionals.

Travelling for art implies embracing new challenges, being prone to staying in the limelight and to taking risks, chasing glory, rewards, and money.
