This project aims to enhance the sustainable management of forest genetic resources in Europe. It seeks to provide guidelines and monitoring systems to support the conservation and use of genetic diversity in forests amid changing environmental conditions.
Forest genetic resources (FGR) form the base for adaptation of European forests to future environmental conditions and societal demands.
Appropriate use and sustainable management of FGR is therefore of utmost importance.
