The FRUITPRINT project aims to enhance the storage of fruits and vegetables by discovering new bioactive molecules that inhibit ripening and senescence. This approach seeks to reduce energy consumption and post-harvest losses, ultimately contributing to sustainable food production.
A main challenge for human societies is to feed the ever-increasing world population while limiting the carbon footprint inherent in food production activities.
